Buckle up, because we&#8217;re about to dive into the planning aspects of the Personal Project and the Community Project in the MYP. These projects are the ultimate test of an IB student&#8217;s creativity, problem-solving skills, and determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While they may be optional for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toddleapp.com\/ib-myp\/streamlined-accreditation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">candidate schools<\/a> to implement, they are still considered a significant rite of passage for IB students across all programmes. As a candidate school, you will have to have a plan in place for implementing either one of the projects at your school. Let&#8217;s get planning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-you-re-required-to-produce-for-authorisation\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:800\">What you&#8217;re required to produce for authorisation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the MYP at your school will include year 5, you must submit a personal project description. If the MYP will not include year 5, you must submit a community project description. The description should include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How the project will be organised<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who will oversee its management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Timelines for implementing, assessessing and standardising the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-resources-to-help-you-get-started\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:800\">Resources to help you get started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following resources will help you get started on the <strong>personal project<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Watch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toddleapp.com\/learn\/blog_post\/introduction-to-the-myp-personal-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this three-minute explainer video<\/a> to gain a quick overview of the personal project to share with students, teaching teams or parents. Like the Projects, <em>Service as Action<\/em> is not a requirement for candidate school, but you will need to start implementing it once your school is authorised.
