Hamilton and Alexandra College is a regional school in Victoria, with around 450 students from early learning through to Year 12. Previously, some of our student records were still kept on paper. Medical notes were in a folder in the nurse’s office. Behaviour notes were in the learning management system we used at the time. With health information recorded in one place, staff can see whether a student\u2019s needs are changing or whether there are recurring concerns that need further attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For students managing chronic conditions such as Type 1 diabetes, that record can include blood sugar levels, time of day and symptoms alongside routine first-aid visits. Having those details together gives staff the context they need to support the student day to day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When families go to medical appointments, they aren’t relying on memory or fragmented paper logs. We can provide their doctors with a clear, accurate picture of how the child fares throughout the school day.<\/strong> That level of insight simply wasn’t possible when notes were trapped in a binder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When a serious issue reaches my desk before a parent meeting, Toddle\u2019s AI summary gives me a complete overview of a student’s behavioural journey.<\/strong> Built-in permissions keep sensitive records secure, so staff only see what is appropriate for their role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The real breakthrough is having behavior and learning data side by side. Through our pastoral care dashboard, we see how a student\u2019s wellbeing directly impacts their classroom performance, allowing us to intervene with targeted support early on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Looking back, our student data was trapped in paper folders and disconnected databases. Moving to Toddle finally brought all of it under one roof. What has changed is not simply the amount of information we hold, but what we can do with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When achievement, learning, wellbeing and health records can be considered together, staff can notice patterns sooner, prepare for conversations with better context and make more informed decisions about support.
