Explore his <em>blueprint<\/em> for a coherent curriculum and assessment system that emphasizes deeper learning and long-term transfer based on both Disciplinary Standards and 21st Century Skills that cut across the disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Together, use<em> backward design<\/em> to create a curriculum blueprint to guide the design of a coherent and vertically aligned curriculum. Generate overarching essential questions that spiral across the grades. Create recurring cornerstone performance tasks and companion rubrics that integrate 21st Century Skills with academic content.
