By presenting at TIES 2023, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise with a global audience of educators,
engage in meaningful discussions, and empower educators to innovate and transform their teaching practices.
You can participate either as an individual or as a team of two. Keep reading to learn more.
What is a strategy session?
A strategy session is a space for educators to share successful approaches from their teaching practice. It provides
educators with a unique opportunity to share and learn from peers and take away applicable next steps.
This year, we’re seeking submissions for :

General learning strategies

A few clarifying points:
- Strategy session presenters should be experienced and confident with virtual sessions.
- Strategy sessions are 70 minutes long and should highlight one aspect of your teaching practice.
- Sessions must be practical in nature and clearly identify an applicable strategy or structure.
- Sessions must include a minimum of three interactive prompts.
- Sessions should include visual examples of learning or structures relevant to the focus of the session.
What do I need to submit?
- A summary of your school’s context (200 words approx.)
- A summary about yourself (200 words approx.)
- A high-resolution photograph
- 3-4 session objectives
- Session description containing visual examples of student learning or structures relevant to the focus of the session (300 words approx.)
- An example of a former session you have led on any topic of your choice (optional)
- A video filmed in horizontal format, in good lighting with a plain background, introducing yourself and your session.
