About the Course

A shared learning journey for the AI era

This course is designed for K-12 educators and their students to develop their foundational AI literacy skillset. It’s built around the seven core skills identified in the AI Literacy Framework developed by the OECD, European Commission, and Code.org. Each of the eight lessons invites teachers and students to watch, pause, reflect, and practice together. After the video, you’ll dive into hands-on exercises designed to deepen your understanding and apply what you’ve learned.

Each skill is anchored to a thinking framework or graphic organizer that helps bring it to life in the classroom. You can download the full set of organizers and posters to keep using as you explore AI across subjects.

What you’ll learn

By the end of this course, you will:

  1. Practice and reflect on the seven core AI literacy skills: critical thinking, creativity, computational thinking, self and social awareness, collaboration, communication, and problem solving.
  2. Build a shared language around each skill and how it shows up in real classroom use.
  3. Use AI thoughtfully and safely as both a teacher and a student, with practical tools and routines you can apply immediately.
