As MYP educators, we are masters of planning the big picture for our units. We do this through the inquiry section of our units. Since our units change direction based on a variety of factors, such as what is happening in the world around us and student generated inquiry questions, it can often be challenging to pre-plan our teaching and learning lesson by lesson. Moreover, we also need to adapt our units based on evolving student needs.

The five minute lesson plan templates can be used in conjunction with your IB MYP unit planner to create more robust lesson plans. They are meant to help you provide structure to your MYP lessons, and bring in some of the important elements from your unit planners into your classroom.
