For six years, our tech setup at Trinity Lutheran College served us well. Our teaching team was consistently designing great daily lessons, managing assessments, and delivering thorough reporting. We had a strong foundation, but as our learning goals evolved, we knew our tools needed to evolve too.
Like many dedicated teaching teams, we were working across multiple platforms to make it all happen. Our daily lesson planning lived in one space, while our broader curriculum – our central ideas, ATLs, and learning standards – lived in separate documents. Our teachers worked hard to bridge that gap manually, constantly switching back and forth between files to keep everyday learning tied to our bigger vision.
When we saw Toddle, we realized we didn’t have to manage multiple tools anymore. It gave us a way to bring everything into one place so we could focus even more of our time where it belongs – on our students.

With Toddle, we can plan units, break them down into learning experiences, and share them directly with students – all on one platform. Whenever we build a daily learning experience, we can quickly refer to the unit plan sitting side by side on our screen and tag relevant learning goals as we go. This gives our teaching better structure and ensures our day-to-day work stays closely aligned with our overarching curriculum.
As an Australian school, we were also glad to find our national curriculum already built into the planner. On top of that, the platform was fully customizable. We had total freedom to add custom fields to the front page of our planners and restructure our learning experiences so the tool fit our unique school requirements.
Easier, more consistent assessments
The transition was seamless for everyone – even our youngest students adapted to the Toddle Workbook right away, finding everything they were used to from our previous platform.
For our teachers, the biggest difference was how much Toddle simplified assessment. On our previous platform, we had to manually build complex rubric tables for every task, which took up significant time and naturally led to some inconsistency across classrooms. Toddle replaced that manual heavy lifting with a wide range of pre-built rubrics and checklists tailored to our curriculum. We still have full flexibility to create our own custom rubrics and embed them directly into student tasks. It saves us a great deal of setup time, keeps our reporting consistent, and gives students clear visibility into how they are being assessed.

Naturally, we were skeptical about moving our entire school to a brand-new platform. But the support from the Toddle team throughout onboarding made all the difference. They worked closely with us to align the product to our needs and provided hands-on professional development for our staff, helping us avoid change fatigue altogether.
