In other words, ATLs and TOK have become more critical than ever for 21st-century citizens – and it’s high time we prioritise them in the IBDP classroom!

ATLs in the AI era: Integrating thinking and research skills into your curriculum

Join Corin Bone as he explores how ATLs seamlessly fit into the IBDP, especially in the age of AI. He will introduce a comprehensive ATL rubric, emphasising thinking and research skills, and provide strategies to help your students progress on the rubric. You will also learn how to reinforce these skills across subjects and tackle the primary challenges you may face in this process.

- Identify what sets apart successful IBDP learners in terms of thinking and research skills
- Learn how student self-reflection on ATL skills boosts metacognition
- Explore strategies to build a school culture that effectively encourages the development of ATL skills
TOK, ATLs, and AI: A deep dive into the 21st-century IBDP classroom
5:45 – 6:45 PM AEDT (60 minutes)
Join Michael Murphy for a thorough understanding of generative AI’s capabilities and constraints in your IBDP classrooms. Michael will demonstrate how to use these tools in your theory of knowledge classes and explain why this way of thinking is important for using new technology in all subjects. Feel free to ask anything, disagree with what you learn, and suggest new ideas for teaching!
