Assessment is a mirror.
It reflects what your school truly values, whether that’s curiosity, connection, or compliance. With the release of the new subject guides, we have the chance to re-examine how assessment can serve its real purpose: nurturing inquiry, agency, and conceptual thinking.
This summit invites PYP coordinators, curriculum leads, and educators to explore three guiding questions:
a. How do we recognise when learners have moved from knowing to truly understanding?
b. In what ways can assessment nurture inquiry, agency, and conceptual thinking in the PYP?
c. How can we make student-centred learning visible in daily practice?
Together, we’ll reflect, share, and take away strategies to make assessment purposeful each day.
