Event overview
Rooted in Christ brings together principals, curriculum leaders, and Catholic identity/mission leaders from across the California region for a day that treats Catholic identity not as a constraint on innovation, but as its foundation. Together, we’ll explore what it means to put the mission of Catholic education into practice — creating school communities where students, families, and faculty feel known, valued, and a genuine sense of belonging, while ensuring that every learner has opportunities for meaningful, authentic learning.
Through conversations around leadership, belonging, instructional practice, and emerging technology, we’ll examine how Catholic identity can shape not only what we teach, but how we teach and how students experience learning. What does authentic learning look like when we begin with the dignity and unique gifts of each learner? How might a strong sense of belonging create the conditions for students to engage more deeply, take intellectual risks, discover their purpose, and connect learning to the world around them?
And as AI and technology continue to reshape education, we’ll consider an essential question for Catholic school leaders: How do we embrace what’s next while remaining rooted in what matters most?
