That's why I'm starting Inside Schools, where every month I will share a story from a school that has made a design choice worth understanding. The goal is simple: to share real examples of how schools are thinking, building, and evolving.

The school where service runs through everything

Most schools have a service programme. UWCSEA has a service curriculum, mapped from kindergarten to Grade 12. Six-year-olds learn that another child's turn on the tricycle matters as much as their own. Twelve-year-olds build working relationships with partner organisations. Grade 12 students design and facilitate dialogue between young people divided by conflict. Service does not sit alongside the learning. It is the learning.
