Toddle was founded in 2018 by a team of educators and school leaders. Between them, they had spent years teaching in classrooms and running schools, and had watched teachers lose hours every week to disconnected, outdated tools. They set out to build one modern, intuitive platform where teachers could do all their work in one place, from curriculum planning to family communication.
What began as a tool for a handful of schools has grown into the teaching and learning platform of choice for 2,500+ schools across 100+ countries. Today, Toddle brings the full teaching and learning cycle together, with powerful AI built into every workflow to help teachers do their best work and save hours every week.

Yes. Plenty of Toddle schools run more than one curriculum. Each curriculum is set up as its own program on Toddle, with its own planning templates, assessment approaches, grading systems, reporting formats, and settings tailored to how that curriculum works. Teachers across programs work in one connected system instead of separate tools, and school leaders get a single view across every program.
Always. Toddle evolves alongside the schools we serve. We listen closely, build what you need, and bring it to life every few months at our Demo Days. To shape the longer arc of the platform, we also partner with 50+ school leaders on our Global Advisory Council. Have a feature in mind? Let us know at support@toddleapp.com.

Toddle AI is built specifically for K-12 schools. Three things make it different from general-purpose AI tools:
Toddle is designed to ensure teachers have full control and visibility over how students use AI. They decide what each AI Tutor can and cannot do, every conversation stays visible to them, and any topic they mark off-limits stays strictly off-limits. Unsafe messages are flagged instantly, and no student PII is ever shared with LLMs.
No. Toddle does not use school data to train AI models, and does not permit external AI providers to train their models on your data. Every AI provider Toddle works with is contractually bound to zero-retention terms, meaning school data is never stored or used for training on their end.
Student data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and pseudonymized when processed by AI models. Toddle AI is ISO 42001 and ISO 27701 certified, and holds Digital Promise's Responsible AI certification. Toddle complies with major data-privacy regulations covering how student information is stored, processed, and shared.
Toddle uses a combination of leading LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. For each task, we benchmark these models on the quality of output and choose the one that delivers the best results. This means teachers get the best model for the job, not the same model for everything.
Integrations and accessToddle integrates with 50+ platforms, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and student information systems like PowerSchool, Veracross, Blackbaud, Compass, iSAMS, and TASS. If a platform you use isn't on the list, our team will evaluate whether we can build it, and in most cases we can within a few weeks. Read more on our integrations page.
Yes. Toddle has mobile apps for educators, students, and families, on both iOS and Android. The Toddle Educator App lets teachers document learning journeys, take attendance, and communicate on the go. The Toddle Student App brings assignments, portfolios, and calendar into one place. The Toddle Family App keeps families close to their child's learning with messages, announcements, portfolios, and progress reports, all in one place.
Toddle works on any modern device, including laptops, desktops, tablets, and phones, through current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox. The Toddle Educator, Student, and Family apps are available on iOS and Android, so your whole community can use Toddle on the devices they already have.
