Who can contribute to Toddle Community?

All PYP teachers and PYP Coordinators, no matter the years of experience, can be members of and contribute to Toddle Community!

What kind of content can I contribute to Toddle Community?

You can contribute unit plans and learning experiences to Toddle Community.

What happens when I contribute a unit plan or learning experience to Toddle Community?

When you upload unit plans and learning experiences from your Toddle account, they will show up on your Toddle Community Learning Design Portfolio instantly. All Community members visiting your profile will be able to see your contributions.

Who owns my contributions to Toddle Community?

  • You own your contributions to Toddle Community. By contributing your unit plans and learning experiences to the Community, you agree that-
  • your contribution will be accessible to all members of Toddle Community and that they can import your learning experiences to use in their classrooms
  • members of the Community can take inspiration from your contributions to use in their own classrooms,
  • for as long as your contribution is on the Community, Toddle can use your contributions in promotional materials and blogs,
  • if your learning experience is imported by an author, and they make changes to your learning experience and re-contribute it to Toddle Community, you will be given the original author credits for this contribution.

How can I get my unit featured in the ‘Spotlight Unit’ section?

The Toddle team regularly reviews all contributions. Contributions that stand out are featured in the spotlight section! You can find the guidelines for contributing unit plans and learning experiences when you contribute a unit plan and learning experience.

What is the checklist for contributing unit plans and learning experiences to Toddle Community?

For the benefit of all members, we try to maintain high standards for all resources contributed to Toddle Community.

If you’re contributing a unit plan, please make sure that your unit satisfies the following criteria:

  • The unit has a relevant high quality cover image
  • All sections of your unit plan are complete
  • Your unit has at least 10 relevant learning experiences
  • Each learning experience has a relevant high quality image
  • The content in your unit is original and citations have been given wherever applicable
  • In case you have added a resource from a file sharing service (such as Google Docs), please add it as a PDF so that community members are able to access it.

If you’re contributing a learning experience, please make sure that your learning experience satisfies the following criteria:

  • Your learning experience has a well-written name that teachers from around the world can understand
  • Your learning experience is complete with all necessary resources, links, photos, and downloadables
  • Your learning experience has clear instructions for the teacher and/or the student to understand and follow
  • Wherever necessary, student templates and audio instructions have been provided
  • In case you have added a resource from a file sharing service (such as Google Docs), please add it as a PDF so that community members are able to access it.

Can I import a learning experience to my unit on Toddle?

Yes! You can import learning experiences to your units and make changes to it to suit your needs! Toddle 360 users can also directly assign learning experiences from Toddle Community to their students.

Can I unpublish a contribution I have contributed to Toddle Community?

Yes, you can unpublish a contribution you have made to Toddle Community at any time! However, please note that copies or modified versions of your contributions may continue to exist in other Community members’ accounts.
