At S N Kansagra, we’ve always believed in nurturing the whole child. We see each student as a complete person full of strengths, interests, and needs that go far beyond their grades. So when we set out to explore platforms for our school, we knew we needed something that was built to support this vision.
When a tech coordinator at another school recommended Toddle, I took a leap and pitched it to our leadership team and they loved it. They saw potential in how it could bring together different aspects of school life, from portfolios and wellbeing records to grades, report cards, and parent communication.
We ran a month-long pilot with a small group of teachers, tested it thoroughly, and rolled it out across the school. It wasn’t an off-the-shelf solution, and that was the beauty of it. With continuous support from our Toddle buddy, we’ve adapted the platform to meet our needs along the way. It’s been an ongoing partnership of refining, experimenting, and building together.
Eight months later, the impact is clear. We’re not only seeing every student better, but supporting them more meaningfully, inside and beyond the classroom.
Meeting every learner where they are with AI Tutors
We started experimenting with AI Tutors in Grade 11 physics. We set up a tutor to help teach light and electricity concepts, and what happened with one particular student opened our eyes to the possibilities. This student wasn’t enjoying physics much, and the tutor picked up on that. It asked her about what she did enjoy, and when she mentioned her interest in skincare, the tutor adapted its approach. It started explaining light properties by connecting them to how skincare products interact with skin. Her physics teacher watched this unfold and got many ideas for how to support this student.

We’re also seeing teachers use AI Tutors as a kind of always-available study companion. Our history and geography teachers design tutors for each subtopic and leave them running through the year. So when a student studies Weather and Climate in August but hits a roadblock during February exam prep, the same AI tutor is there to help. It’s become a consistent resource that’s available when a teacher can’t be.

Overall, AI Tutors have provided another way for students to receive support outside the classroom and for teachers to gain additional insight into student interests, learning preferences, and areas of difficulty.
Celebrating each student more intentionally
We’ve always celebrated our students through certificates and motivational stickers, but Toddle’s Behaviour Management module opened us up to new ways to make recognition consistent and visible to families.
We saw how the module was structured around positive, neutral, and negative behaviours by default, and that prompted us to reflect. What strengths could we capture more often if we had a formal way to record them? Why not make it a practice to document and celebrate positive behaviours?

Now, every fortnight, teachers intentionally record positive behaviours they observe, whether it is leadership, collaboration, initiative, or resilience. These records are shared with parents automatically, so parent-teacher conversations are grounded in a fuller picture of each child’s growth, wellbeing, and character.
Creating holistic progress reports in minutes, not hours
Reporting on progress beyond grades is a hugely important part of showcasing students holistically. However, it often requires teachers to pull information from multiple sources in order to build a complete picture of a student
Drafting report card comments with Toddle AI changed that experience for us. The AI automatically scans through all student data we document on the platform (which is a lot!) and generates thoughtful, personalized comments, which our teachers then refine when needed.

The process has become faster, but it has also encouraged greater consistency because the comments are rooted in documented observations and evidence. Our reports feel holistic than before and more aligned with the child we see every day. Parents have shared that they genuinely look forward to reading them.
Building a shared understanding of the child at home and school
One thing we’ve always been committed to at our school is regular communication with families. We want parents to be active partners in their child’s learning journey, so we make it a point to share updates every single day.
For a long time, our communication was spread across multiple channels like WhatsApp groups and emails. This meant that messages would get lost in threads, we couldn’t track who’d seen what, and teachers were spending significant time crafting each update.
Toddle Connect streamlined our communication workflows. Now teachers draft key points, and Toddle AI turns them into polished updates ready to send. Communication and teaching live side by side, which has made the process seamless for teachers and far more organised for parents.
The translation feature has been unexpectedly valuable too. We have teachers who don’t speak the local language, and we have parents who aren’t comfortable reading English. Being able to easily send messages that everyone can read, regardless of language, means every family is accounted for.
Families now have higher visibility into the classroom, bringing them closer than before to their child’s journey. That connection has helped us build a better understanding of each child together, at home and school.
Helping each child thrive with Toddle
When we first began exploring platforms for our school, we were looking for a way to bring together the many different aspects of a student’s experience, both academic and non-academic.
Toddle has helped us move closer to that vision. It has made it easier to document student growth, support communication with families, and bring different pieces of information together in one place.
We see this as an ongoing partnership. As our school’s needs continue to evolve, we are continuing to refine processes, adapt workflows, and identify solutions that work best for our context. There is still more to build over time, but we have valued the flexibility and support that Toddle has offered so far.
